Ex-minister Adeosun’s husband for burial Thursday

The funeral service for Anthony Adeosun, husband of former Nigerian Minister of Finance Kemi Adeosun, is scheduled for Thursday, August 13, 2026, in Lagos. The announcement was made by Wale Adeosun on behalf of the family.

A night of tributes will precede the service on Wednesday, August 12, at 5 p.m. at Harbour Point Event Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos. The funeral service itself will take place at 10 a.m. on Thursday at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, City of David, Trinity Towers, also on Victoria Island.

The family described the deceased, popularly known as Niyi, as their "dearly beloved son, brother, husband and father." Anthony Adeosun passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at the age of 62. The family's announcement highlighted him as a reputable businessman and a devoted Christian who positively impacted those who knew him.

He was 62 years old. Niyi was a distinguished businessman and a devoted Christian whose integrity, generosity, and steadfast faith touched the lives of all who knew him.

They further described him as a "distinguished businessman and a devoted Christian whose integrity, generosity, and steadfast faith touched the lives of all who knew him."

Anthony Adeosun is survived by his wife, Kemi, his children, and his siblings, including Adewale Adeosun, the founder of Kuramo Capital. The family noted that he lived a life defined by hard work, service to God, and an unwavering commitment to his family and community.
