Ex-player Brailovsky slams 'austere' America critics

Former America player Daniel Brailovsky has strongly refuted claims that the club is "austere," directing his criticism at what he termed "fools" who hold such opinions. Brailovsky highlighted the team's current strong performance under new coach Guillermo Almada, noting their undefeated streak and leadership in the league, as well as their progress in the Leagues Cup.

"Some fool once said that America didn't have money, that America was austere. With what they brought in, is that austere? Well, it seems they were wrong, as always," Brailovsky stated during the launch of a commemorative watch for America's 110th anniversary. He acknowledged that criticism is normal for a club of America's stature.

Brailovsky lauded Guillermo Almada, calling him one of the best coaches in Mexican football. He noted the difficulty of following a coach who had won three consecutive titles but praised Almada's "spectacular football" and successful track record in Ecuador and with Pachuca. Brailovsky believes America consistently seeks the best.

Regarding potential reinforcements, Brailovsky expressed confidence in Almada's ability to identify necessary players. He stressed that the current squad is capable and that any player representing America understands the club's demand to compete for titles. "Anyone who wears the America shirt knows they have to fight for titles. So, if they don't, they certainly won't be here for long," he concluded.
