Experts sound alarm over Islamist infiltration in France and Europe

A growing concern over Islamist infiltration into Western democracies was voiced by experts at a recent conference in Saint-Ouen, France. The event, organized by the European Center for Research and Information on Fraternism (Cerif), focused on the threat posed by groups like the Muslim Brotherhood and Salafists.

Anthropologist Florence Bergeaud-Blackler, president of Cerif, warned that an "integralist vision" is spreading globally. This vision, she explained, is evident in the increasing availability of "halal" products and services across French society, extending from food and cosmetics to financial instruments. The influence, she cautioned, is not confined to religious observance but permeates various aspects of daily life.

Eleven researchers specializing in the subject gathered to discuss the structures, doctrines, networks, and influence strategies of these Islamist movements.
