Although marketed as an eco-friendly solution for saving fuel and reducing emissions, specialists caution that this system can lead to expensive engine problems in the long run. The system automatically shuts off the engine when the vehicle is stationary, such as at traffic lights or in congestion, and restarts it upon acceleration. However, the automotive repair financing company Bumper warns that these frequent ignitions place additional stress on the starter and battery, potentially shortening their operational life and leading to costly breakdowns.
