Charles Leclerc piloted his Ferrari to victory at the British Grand Prix in Silverstone on Sunday, marking a significant triumph for the Monegasque driver. He crossed the finish line ahead of two British racers, George Russell of Mercedes and veteran Lewis Hamilton of Ferrari, who secured second and third place respectively.

This win is Leclerc's first Grand Prix victory since Austin, United States, in October 2024. It also marks his maiden win at the British Grand Prix, bringing his career total to nine victories. The triumph offers a much-needed boost to the 28-year-old's morale after a challenging start to the 2026 season.

The race at the iconic Silverstone circuit was thrilling, particularly in its final stages. The safety car was deployed due to an incident involving Max Verstappen of Red Bull. Championship leader Kimi Antonelli experienced a difficult race, finishing a mere sixteenth due to aerodynamic issues and a penalty, which has now spiced up the championship battle.

Leclerc's victory placed him just ahead of three British drivers: Russell, Hamilton, and Lando Norris of McLaren, who finished fourth. The Top 5 was rounded out by Isack Hadjar in his Red Bull. The event drew 180,000 passionate fans to Silverstone. Ferrari has now secured two wins this season, with Hamilton having previously won in Catalonia in June.
