FA introduces 10-match ban for discriminatory conduct

The Football Association (FA) has implemented a stricter penalty for discriminatory conduct, mandating a minimum 10-match ban for aggravated offenses starting next season. This enhanced sanction applies to players, managers, and anyone in technical areas found guilty of such behavior.

Under the revised FA Rule E3.2, suspensions for aggravated breaches will now start at 10 matches, a significant increase from the previous range of six to 12 matches. This rule covers misconduct related to ethnic origin, color, race, nationality, religion, sex, gender, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, or disability.

The FA also warned that repeat offenders could face bans exceeding 12 matches or lengthy time-based suspensions, reinforcing its commitment to creating a discrimination-free football environment.
