Fabian case trial resumes with multiple witnesses after break

The trial concerning the death of eight-year-old Fabian from Güstrow is set to continue at the Rostock Regional Court following a four-week recess. Today's proceedings, starting at 9:30 AM, will involve the questioning of multiple witnesses.

Among those scheduled to testify is the sister of the woman accused of murder. Other witnesses will provide accounts related to vehicle observations on the day of the incident. A forester is expected to give details about locations where the accused allegedly stayed on that day. Additionally, a farrier, with whom the accused reportedly had an appointment, and an expert from the Federal Criminal Police Office specializing in communication analysis are also slated to testify.

The prosecution has charged the 30-year-old accused with stabbing Fabian on October 10, 2025, near a pond in Klein Upahl, approximately 15 kilometers south of Güstrow. She is further accused of subsequently setting his body on fire. The alleged motive is reportedly linked to her relationship with Fabian's father and its temporary end.

This marks the 20th day of the trial, which has been ongoing for an extended period. The court is expected to piece together further evidence and testimonies to establish the events and circumstances surrounding Fabian's death.
