Fabio Torres, Vallenato Businessman and Music Producer, Dies in Valledupar

Valledupar mourns the passing of Fabio Torres Molina, a prominent businessman and cultural figure in the vallenato music scene. Torres, who died on August 24, was recognized for his extensive work in music launches and event production through his company, Zona Creativa.

His career included significant collaborations with vallenato artists, notably Silvestre Dangond, whom he began working with in 2002. Torres also supported other artists like El Churo Díaz, playing a key role in shaping their careers. His company, Zona Creativa, founded in 2006, specialized in advertising and business strategies.

President Abelardo De La Espriella expressed his deep sadness over the loss of his "dear friend," extending condolences to Torres's family and loved ones. The Gobernación del Cesar also issued a statement, honoring Torres as a man who "knew how to build a business, lend a hand to those who followed him, an promoter of vallenato, a person with humanism at heart and a peerless father."

Funeral services are being organized by the Gobernación del Cesar to allow the community to pay their final respects to a man remembered for his entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to the cultural heritage of the region.
