Failed sale of Kopaonik resort leaves Municipality of Raška empty-handed

An attempt by the Municipality of Raška to sell the "Raška" resort on Kopaonik mountain has failed, with no interested parties submitting bids by the deadline. The municipality had advertised the sale of the property, which spans 1,487 square meters and includes various facilities like rooms, a basement, and a restaurant, in mid-May.

The property also included four plots of land totaling 805 square meters, on which the resort is situated. The initial asking price for these assets was set at just over 2.8 million euros.

The decision by the local government to sell the resort had drawn criticism from opposition parties. However, the President of the Municipality, Darko Milićević, defended the move, stating that the "Raška" resort was unprofitable. He further explained that the proceeds from the sale were intended to fund the reconstruction of the "Raška" villa.
