Fake Cops Rob Asian Expatriate at Gunpoint in Fintas

Fintas police in Kuwait City are actively searching for two unknown men suspected of robbing an Asian expatriate by posing as law enforcement officers. The incident occurred around 7:00 p.m. as the victim was returning home from work.

The two assailants stopped the victim, identified themselves as detectives, and falsely claimed to suspect him of possessing narcotics. After searching him and finding no drugs, they demanded his wallet to "verify his identity." The victim complied, but the suspects allegedly took his civil ID and the cash from his wallet.

When the victim attempted to resist and call for assistance, the suspects reportedly assaulted him before fleeing the scene. A case has been registered against the perpetrators on charges of robbery with violence and impersonating police officers. Detectives are intensifying their investigation to identify and apprehend the suspects and to fully clarify the circumstances surrounding the robbery.
