Family Story Bridging Screen and Stage: Creative Musical 'Father's Season' to Perform in Yeongju

A unique fusion of 2D animation and live classical music, the creative musical play 'Father's Season,' is set to captivate audiences in Yeongju on the 25th. The performance will take place at the Kkachi Hall of the Yeongju Culture and Arts Center.

'Father's Season' delves into the life of a father who dedicated his career to being an engineer and explores the theme of family love. The narrative unfolds through animated sequences, accompanied by live classical performances including vocal solos, piano recitals, and a children's choir, creating an immersive emotional experience.

The production artfully weaves together the sacrifices and love of parents and the enduring memories of family across generations. The musical score primarily features Korean art songs, blending familiar melodies with animation to make classical music more accessible and enjoyable for a wider audience. The performance also holds significance as it reinterprets local stories through the talents of artists from Yeongju, including tenor Choi Dae-kwon, who performs and directs, and Um Hye-kyung, who serves as planner and stage director.
