Famous faces in photographs: Guests at the fashion show no one wanted to miss

For one afternoon, the Palacio Ortiz Basualdo became a fashion runway. The building, now home to the French Embassy on Buenos Aires' Cerrito Street, hosted Rapsodia's spring-summer show, “We speak in flowers.”

The event began at midday with cocktails, wine and finger food as guests gathered before the main presentation. The first row filled with actresses, models, influencers and familiar figures from Argentine social and cultural circles.

Black emerged as the dominant color. Zaira Nara, Marcela Kloosterboer, Agustina Cherri and Delfina Chaves combined lace, knitwear, transparencies and leather in dark looks. Agostina Barbagelata and Francesca Ribero chose a mix of shine, relaxed tailoring and lighter shades, while Anita Espasandin and Elena Bordeu brought western and rock-inspired touches, including sunglasses, denim and studs.

The show also introduced a younger generation. Among the names highlighted were Zelmira Agote, Allegra Antelo, Maia Mayorga and Charo Calamaro. Some are daughters of well-known figures, while others are emerging personalities. Allegra Antelo, who studies in Madrid, is temporarily interning in Buenos Aires.

The gathering included longtime friends of founders Josefina Helguera and Sol Acuña, who created the brand in 1999. Paula and Lulu Cahen d’Anvers, Carolina Eiras, Josefina “Mimi” Robirosa and Milagros Resta were among the regular guests. Francisco de Narváez attended with his wife, Carolina “Cuki” Klemencic, while Zaira Nara, Marcela Kloosterboer and Agustina Cherri stood out in the front row. The event blended fashion, family names, new faces and the social rituals surrounding the brand’s shows.
