Fans Cannot Believe Beyoncé Is Selling an Empty Wooden Box for €815

Beyoncé is asking fans to pay $948.01 for a wooden box that contains no music, prompting a wave of criticism online. The price converts to about €815, and shipping and taxes could push the final cost above $1,100.

The Bey Keeper Collector’s Box is a limited storage case for vinyl records and other physical music releases. It is made from solid pine, coated with beeswax oil and lined with dark green velvet. Its design draws on traditional beehives and includes engraved details, gold-colored metal elements and an artificial alligator-pattern leather strap.

Only 500 individually numbered boxes will be sold. The price is symbolic, referring to Beyoncé’s birth date, September 4, 1981. The launch coincides with her 45th birthday and the 20th anniversary of her album B’Day. Yet the box contains no record or album, a detail that has become the focus of fans’ complaints.

The item is already available for preorder through Beyoncé’s official online store, with first deliveries planned for November 1, 2026. Social media users questioned the value of receiving only an empty wooden storage case.
