Farhat Iminov Appointed Head of Kyrgyzstan's National Agency for Virtual Assets

Farhat Iminov has been appointed as the head of the National Agency for Virtual Assets and Blockchain Technologies under the President of Kyrgyzstan. The decree was signed by President Sadyr Japarov.

Before this appointment, Iminov served as the head of the National Investment Agency under the President since April 2025. He was born on July 8, 1975, and holds degrees in finance, accounting, and credit. Throughout his career, Iminov has engaged in entrepreneurial activities and served as a deputy in the Bishkek City Kenesh and the Jogorku Kenesh of the VI convocation, where he was a member of the budget and finance committee.

In late May, President Sadyr Japarov signed a decree establishing the National Agency for Virtual Assets and Blockchain Technologies. This new structure was formed based on the secretariat of the National Council for the Development of Virtual Assets and Blockchain Technologies. The agency is designated as the authorized body for implementing state policy and regulating this emerging sector.
