Fatal crash in Aydın leaves one dead, four injured

A serious traffic accident on the Tire road in Aydın, Turkey, has led to the death of one person and injuries to four others. The incident happened around 4:30 PM in the Gözpınar neighborhood.

The vehicle, driven by Osman C., 36, was traveling from Tire towards Aydın when the driver lost control. The car veered off the road, collided with a canal on the left side, and overturned.

Emergency services were dispatched to the scene. The injured, including the driver Osman C., Okan Okkuşçu, Necdet S. (15), Alparslan C. (5), and Göktuğ C. (3), were transported to Aydın City Hospital. Despite medical efforts, Okan Okkuşçu, who was in critical condition, succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. His body was taken to the Aydın Forensic Medicine Institute morgue.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the crash. The driver, Osman C., who suffered minor injuries, was taken into police custody following his medical treatment.
