Father of Agostina Vega claims he spoke with detainee, points to mother's circle

Gabriel Vega, the father of Agostina Vega, a 14-year-old girl who disappeared in Córdoba, Argentina, has revealed that he met alone with the only person detained in connection with the case, Claudio Barrelier, and secretly recorded their conversation. Vega stated that the recording contains "very hard" and "very complicated" information.

I got the guy's phone, I met him, and I recorded him. There is footage of everything he says, and there are things that are very hard there.

Following the meeting, Vega pointed fingers at the mother's inner circle, accusing them of obstructing the search operations. "I tell them that on the other side, referring to the maternal family, stop hindering the investigation," he stated. Vega expressed his suspicions about the victim's close environment, noting inconsistencies in family members' behavior and suggesting a connection between the mother and the detainee: "Between the mother and this guy there is something... I don't know what but there is something."

Vega described the events leading up to his daughter's disappearance, which occurred on a Saturday night while he was on a trekking expedition in San Luis. He received a call from Agostina's godfather informing him of her disappearance, an event that triggered a severe nervous breakdown. He traveled to Córdoba to participate in the search, arriving early Monday morning.
