FC Augsburg Loans Forward Elias Saad to Nashville SC for One Year

German Bundesliga club FC Augsburg has announced the loan of forward Elias Saad to Nashville SC for the upcoming season. The 26-year-old Tunisian international will play in the American Major League Soccer, seeking to regain match fitness and secure more playing time.

This loan spell represents Saad's second consecutive temporary move away from Augsburg. Last season, after a disappointing first half of the campaign without scoring, he was loaned to Hannover 96 in the second division. While he featured in two matches for Tunisia at the recent World Cup, he spent the final group game on the bench.

"For Elias, it's now about finding his game rhythm again and getting as many minutes on the field as possible. The MLS offers him a good perspective for this," said FCA Sporting Director Benni Weber. "We wish him a lot of success for the coming season and, above all, that he stays injury-free."

Details of the deal between FC Augsburg and Nashville SC were not disclosed. Saad joined Augsburg last summer from FC St. Pauli.
