FC Midtjylland signs Nigerian striker Stanley Iheanacho

Danish club FC Midtjylland has secured the signing of promising 21-year-old Nigerian forward Stanley Iheanacho. The transfer is seen as a move to bolster the team's offensive capabilities, potentially replacing departing attacking players.

Iheanacho arrives from FC Midtjylland's Portuguese partner club, CD Mafra. During his tenure there, he demonstrated his scoring prowess, netting 17 goals in 65 matches. His contract with FC Midtjylland runs until the end of 2030, indicating a long-term investment by the club.

Iheanacho previously spent time in FC Midtjylland's youth academy before his move to Portugal. His previous senior experience with the Danish club was limited to 77 minutes in a cup match in 2023, during which he notably scored four goals.
