FETÖ operation in 12 Turkish provinces leads to 41 arrests

An extensive operation targeting the Fethullah Terrorist Organization/Parallel State Structure (FETÖ/PDY) has resulted in the arrest of 41 suspects across 12 Turkish provinces. The operation, spearheaded from İzmir, focused on the organization's current educational activities and structures.

Authorities detained 80 individuals during the raids, with judicial proceedings leading to the formal arrest and imprisonment of 41 of them. The crackdown aims to disrupt the group's alleged efforts to maintain influence and operate within educational settings despite ongoing government efforts to dismantle its networks.

The Turkish government has long accused FETÖ of orchestrating a coup attempt in 2016 and has since pursued widespread purges and legal actions against its alleged members and sympathizers. This latest operation underscores the continued focus on rooting out the organization's presence, particularly within the education sector.
