Fewer children start school in the Zlín region as numbers of first-graders and students decline

The new school year began with fewer children in schools across the Zlín region, with the number of both first-graders and students declining.

In Slavičín, school principal Pavel Macek moved between three school buildings during the morning. He opened the school year at the K Hájenkám building at 7:45 a.m.

He then went to the school building on Osvobození Street, where he welcomed first-graders on the playground and escorted them to their classroom. By 9 a.m., he had returned to the third building, on Školní Street.
