FIFA Referee Hoang Ngoc Ha to Officiate Workers' Football Final

FIFA referee Hoang Ngoc Ha will take charge of the final match for the Northern qualifying round of the Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament 2026. The match is scheduled for 3:30 PM on May 24th at the Xuan Dinh Ward Culture, Information, and Sports Center in Hanoi.

The appearance of FIFA referee Hoang Ngoc Ha has contributed significantly to improving the professional quality and fairness of the tournament. From there, it increases the position and prestige of the playground for laborers.

Assisting Mr. Ha will be national referees Le Phuc Son and Nguyen Quy Thang. The two teams competing in the final will be determined after the semi-final matches held earlier that day. These semi-finals will feature matches between the trade unions of Vietnam Bank - Hai Phong and Petro Vietnam - Quang Ninh.

Last year, Mr. Ha also officiated the final between the People's Public Security Trade Union and the Vietnam Bank Trade Union. His involvement in this tournament is seen as crucial for enhancing the professional quality and fairness of the competition, thereby elevating the status and prestige of this platform for workers. Mr. Ha, recognized as Vietnam's top professional football referee, holds a record of four Golden Whistle awards in the V-League and has been a FIFA referee for many years.

Organized collaboratively by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, Tuoi Tre newspaper, and the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), the tournament is now in its fourth season. It has grown to include 48 teams from across the country, solidifying its position as a reputable annual event for workers and civil servants. The tournament aims to foster sportsmanship and improve the cultural and spiritual lives of participants and society at large. The total prize money exceeds 900 million VND, with the national champion receiving 200 million VND.
