FIFA Selects Moroccans Jaid and El Brinsi for World Cup Third-Place Match

FIFA has selected Moroccan referees Jalal Jaid and Zakaria El Brinsi to be part of the officiating crew for the 2026 World Cup third-place playoff match. The game, scheduled to take place in Miami, will feature France and England competing for third place.

Jalid will assume the role of the fourth official, while El Brinsi has been appointed as the reserve assistant referee. This appointment underscores the growing trust and recognition of Moroccan refereeing capabilities on the international stage.
