Authorities in Bengaluru have filed a First Information Report (FIR) against three individuals who operate Instagram accounts, accusing them of posting offensive and defamatory content targeting Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha.

The FIR stems from a complaint lodged by a member of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) on July 27. The complaint specifically targets three accounts: ground.reality_india, raashtravaadhi2, and manvithamanojsamanvi. The first account is accused of publishing a video on July 16 containing "defamatory and sexually explicit" remarks against Gandhi, with a caption questioning the opposition's silence.

According to the complaint, the post was designed to "insult the dignity of an elected public representative." The other two accounts are also alleged to have shared similar offensive and provocative material. This action highlights the increasing scrutiny and legal action taken against online content deemed harmful or insulting to political figures.
