Fire at Cafe beside New Zealand’s Oldest Building Deemed Suspicious

A fire at Honey House Cafe in Kerikeri is being investigated as suspicious. Flames broke out overnight at the back of the cafe, which stands beside Kemp House, New Zealand’s oldest surviving building.

A cafe spokesperson confirmed the fire the following morning. Police are investigating the blaze at the business, which is also beside the Stone Store.
