Fire Destroys First Floor of Zhinan Temple's Lingxiao Hall; Cause Under Investigation

A significant fire has caused extensive damage to the Lingxiao Hall, a prominent structure within Taipei's renowned Zhinan Temple. The blaze broke out on Sunday evening, engulfing the hall and leading to its complete destruction on the first floor. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident.

Firefighters battled the flames for over three hours before bringing the fire under control. The Lingxiao Hall's interior was largely constructed of wood, making it particularly vulnerable to the fire and complicating rescue efforts. The extensive damage has left the hall's first floor completely destroyed, with upper levels sustaining partial harm.

Preliminary investigations by fire marshals are underway to determine the exact cause of the fire.
