Fire engulfs warehouse in Schaarbeek, Belgium

Firefighters are currently battling a significant blaze that erupted in a warehouse located in Schaarbeek, Belgium. The fire, situated on Brabantstraat, prompted a large-scale response from emergency services.

The fire department confirmed their presence with four fire engines and two ladder trucks working to extinguish the flames. The call reporting the incident was received around 9:20 PM. Firefighters are tackling the fire from both Brabantstraat and Groenstraat, the two streets bordering the warehouse.

Fortunately, there have been no reported injuries associated with the fire thus far. Local police from the Brussels North zone (Schaarbeek/Evere/Sint-Joost-ten-Node) are also on the scene and have cordoned off the area, establishing a safety perimeter to manage the situation.

Authorities have issued a BE-alert, advising residents in the vicinity to keep their doors and windows closed and to switch off ventilation systems as a precautionary measure against smoke inhalation.
