Fire in Istanbul Office Building Injures One

A fire erupted in the basement of a five-story office building in Istanbul's Fatih district around 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday. The blaze, located on Kadırga Hamamı Street in the Şehsuvar Bey neighborhood, rapidly spread smoke throughout the structure.

Alerted by bystanders, emergency services, including firefighters, police, and medical teams, were dispatched to the scene. Police cordoned off the area to ensure public safety while firefighters worked to extinguish the flames. During the intervention, small explosions were reported from the basement.

The fire was eventually brought under control and extinguished by the responding teams. One individual suffered minor injuries during the incident and was transported to a hospital for precautionary medical checks.

While the building sustained damage, emergency crews worked to ventilate the structure and clear the smoke. An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the fire.
