Fire in residential container: Suspected arson investigated

Authorities are investigating a 44-year-old man for suspected arson after a fire broke out in a residential container in Hasselroth's Gondsroth district. The resident sustained minor smoke inhalation during the incident, according to police reports. He was reportedly heavily intoxicated, with a breathalyzer test revealing a blood alcohol content exceeding three per mille.

Emergency services responded to the scene, finding the container fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze rapidly, limiting the damage to superficial external effects on neighboring containers. No other individuals were reported injured.

The man was taken to a specialized clinic for treatment. Initial estimates place the total damage caused by the fire at approximately 100,000 euros. The investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing, with arson being the primary suspicion.
