Fire near tracks halts rail traffic on Yverdon-Lausanne line

The affected services include IC5, IC51, R1, R2, R3, and R4 regional trains, as well as the TGV service returning from Paris. Passengers faced considerable delays, with disruptions anticipated to last until 11 p.m.

CFF is actively working to mitigate the impact by arranging replacement bus services for stranded passengers. They are also advising travelers to consider alternative routes, particularly via Bern. The cause of the fire is reported as being "in the vicinity of the tracks," but further details have not yet been released.
