Firefighters battle blaze as apartment burns out in Kempten, injuring resident

An apartment in a multi-unit building in Kempten has burned out completely and is no longer habitable, while its resident suffered minor injuries, police said.

Firefighters extinguished the flames. The building’s other residents escaped injury and had to leave temporarily, but they were later able to return to their homes.

The cause of the fire remained unclear. Investigators also had no estimate of the damage. Officers from the criminal investigation service were on the scene and examining what happened.
