Five EU Countries Plan to Establish Migrant Centres Outside the Bloc Next Year

Five European Union member states have agreed on a joint migration policy model that would establish migrant detention centres outside the bloc from next year.

The interior ministers of Denmark, Austria, Germany, the Netherlands and Greece said after a meeting in Copenhagen that they were prepared to send irregular migrants to centres outside the European Union starting in 2027.
