Five Finalists Chosen for Milan Mladenović Music Award

The Milan Mladenović Foundation has announced the five superfinalists for this year's music award. The jury selected the finalists from 173 submitted songs. The award ceremony is scheduled for September 21 in Belgrade, on the birthday of the late Milan Mladenović, former frontman of the band Ekatarina Velika.

The five finalists competing for the prize are the groups "Zhiva," "Pocekt Palma," "Roba bez greške," "Dolores i perspektiva," and "Lelee i Jelena Petošević." The foundation announced the selection.

The eighth recipient of the award will receive 3,000 euros and a special statuette. The winner will also perform at regional music festivals, including "Arsenal Fest" in Kragujevac, "SHIP Music Festival" in Šibenik, and "Modro i Zeleno" in Makarska.

A jury comprising Pavica Čabrijan (Croatia), Nemanja Đorđević (Serbia), Lada Furlan Zaborac (Croatia), Jovan Matić (Serbia), and Ana Radonjić/Zoe Kida (Serbia) will also present awards for the most innovative drummer, most interesting vocalist, and best lyrics. Milan Mladenović, a composer and frontman of the rock group Ekatarina Velika, passed away on November 5, 1994, in Belgrade at the age of 36.
