Five IDF soldiers wounded in Hezbollah drone strike in Lebanon

Five Israeli soldiers sustained injuries in southern Lebanon during an attack involving two explosive drones operated by Hezbollah. The incident occurred on Wednesday when the drones targeted the soldiers' location near a tank belonging to the Givati Brigade.

The first drone detonated near the tank, resulting in shrapnel injuries to four soldiers. As these soldiers were being moved to an evacuation vehicle, a second explosive drone struck the vehicle, injuring an additional soldier. Both strikes occurred in the early morning hours.

Following the attacks, the four soldiers initially injured were safely transported to a hospital for medical treatment. The fifth soldier, who was wounded during the rescue operation, was evacuated by helicopter. Families of the affected soldiers have been notified of the incident.

This event underscores the ongoing cross-border hostilities between Hezbollah and Israeli forces in the region. The use of explosive drones by Hezbollah represents a significant escalation in tactics, posing a direct threat to military personnel.
