Five Injured in Series of Crashes in Chuncheon and Wonju, Including Six-Year-Old Girl

Five people, including a six-year-old girl, were injured in separate vehicle accidents in Chuncheon and Wonju in Gangwon Province.

At about 6:37 a.m., a Trailblazer and a Grandeur collided on a road near Buil General Construction in Geoduri, Dongnae-myeon, Chuncheon. The Grandeur’s 43-year-old driver suffered a forehead laceration, while the 33-year-old Trailblazer driver reported breathing difficulties. Both were taken to hospital.

At 9:31 a.m., a Santa Fe, Carnival and Nexo were involved in a three-vehicle crash on a road in Seoksa-dong, Chuncheon. The 61-year-old Carnival driver suffered cuts to the head and nose. A 73-year-old female passenger reported head and neck pain, and both were taken to hospital.

In Wonju, a Sonata failed to see a six-year-old girl while traveling near the Kim Nam-gyu Peach Research Institute in Gyoang-ri, Soccho-myeon, and struck and ran over her. The girl became drowsy after the accident.
