Five Stars Bali Club Owner Placed on Wanted List for Drug Case

Indonesian authorities have declared Tony Budiarto, the owner of the Five Stars nightclub in Denpasar, Bali, a person of interest in a drug trafficking case. The Directorate of Narcotics Crimes at the National Police Criminal Investigation Department (Bareskrim Polri) has officially placed Budiarto, also known as Koko Tony, on its wanted list (DPO).

Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso of the Bareskrim Polri's Narcotics Directorate provided descriptions for Budiarto, noting his black curly hair, small eyes, large nose, thick lips, fair skin, round face, and stout build. Another individual, Wahyu Sulistianto bin Hartanto, alias Casper, also described as having curly black hair, a large nose, thick lips, tan skin, and an oval face, is also on the wanted list. His last known occupation was self-employed.

Both individuals are being prosecuted under Article 114 Paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 132 Paragraph (1) and/or Article 111 Paragraph (1) of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics, as amended by Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code.

Police are urging the public to report any sightings of the wanted individuals to the nearest police station or to contact a provided mobile number. This action follows a raid conducted by Bareskrim Polri on the Five Stars nightclub in the early hours of August 7. During that operation, investigators apprehended 53 people, including suspects and witnesses, and confiscated various types of narcotics.
