Five Young Romanian Inventors Shine Globally, Earning Top Honors in Indonesia

Five young Romanian innovators have achieved global recognition, securing prestigious awards at the International Creativity and Innovation Award Competition (ICIA) held in Indonesia. These young talents, who have transformed their innovative ideas into practical projects, were launched from the INVENTCOR Academy in Deva.

Ana-Maria Iordache received the highest honor, the TITANIUM AWARD for Excellence in Research, for her project "Iodized Pepper." This innovative idea aims to combat iodine deficiency, a global health issue affecting one in four people. Her project has previously earned accolades at other international competitions.

Four other projects from the Romanian team also garnered significant awards. Eduard Sebastian Luca won a silver medal for a medical technology project focused on a "Medical Drone for Saving Lives." Bronze medals were awarded to Denis Ștefan Pena, Nicolae Ioan Blada, and Sebastian Rotea for their work in Artificial Intelligence for construction design, innovative automotive solutions, and ingenious constructions using Lego, respectively.

Representatives from INVENTCOR Academy Deva celebrated the team's success, stating, "Our team of young visionaries has conquered the international podium, demonstrating that Romanian genius and creativity know no borders." The academy has been a launchpad for thousands of Romanian inventors over the past two decades, contributing to over 500 medals and special prizes at major invention fairs across three continents.

Corneliu Birtok-Băneasă, the founder of INVENTCOR Academy Deva, emphasized the academy's role in fostering innovation. The association, established nearly 20 years ago, aims to prove that innovation transcends geographical boundaries. It provides technical knowledge and, crucially, the courage for students of all ages to pursue ambitious projects, with the hope that they will ultimately contribute their talents within Romania.
