Flamengo director confident on keeping midfielder Pulgar amid transfer rumors

Flamengo's sporting director, José Boto, has asserted that the Brazilian club is not concerned about losing Chilean midfielder Erick Pulgar, despite reported interest from several international clubs. Boto confirmed that the club is aware of the speculation surrounding the player but emphasized Pulgar's contentment with his current situation.

"We are aware of this, we have already spoken with the player, he is happy here. We are not afraid of losing him," Boto told ESPN Brasil. He noted that clubs from Saudi Arabia, Greece, and even Colo Colo have been linked with the 29-year-old midfielder. Pulgar, who joined Flamengo in 2022, has a contract with the Rio de Janeiro club that runs until the end of 2027.
