Fleeing migrant worker hiding in truck bed caught by police intern in Taiwan

A routine traffic stop in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, took a dramatic turn when a man, later identified as an overstaying Vietnamese migrant worker, attempted to evade police by hiding in the bed of a parked truck. The incident occurred when officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. Instead of complying, the 37-year-old man, identified by the surname Ruan, fled on foot and concealed himself in the truck's cargo area.

However, his attempt at evasion was thwarted by a sharp-eyed police academy intern who spotted movement in the truck bed. Officers quickly apprehended Ruan, discovering he was an undocumented migrant worker who had been reported missing since March. He had apparently been trying to avoid detection.
