Flensburg remain unbeaten after 38-33 win over Erlangen

SG Flensburg-Handewitt remain unbeaten in the Handball-Bundesliga after beating HC Erlangen 38-33 at home. The victory, played in front of 6,039 spectators, was the team's third in three matches under coach Ales Pajovic.

Emil Jakobsen was Flensburg's leading scorer with 10 goals. Erlangen's Marek Nissen and Frieder Bandlow each scored eight.

The visitors kept the game open for a long spell. Flensburg first stretched its lead to four goals in the 14th minute, when Simon Pytlick made it 12-8. The hosts then maintained an advantage of three to five goals.

Marko Grgic produced the decisive moments, scoring Flensburg's 35-31 goal in the 50th minute and making it 36-31 four minutes later. Erlangen could not respond, and Grgic scored again to complete the result. No goals were scored in the final two minutes.
