Flipkart delivery agent arrested for sexual harassment in Bengaluru

A Flipkart delivery agent has been arrested in Bengaluru following a woman's accusation of sexual harassment and indecent exposure. The incident occurred when the 22-year-old agent allegedly forced his way into the woman's apartment under the guise of needing to use the washroom after delivering a package.

According to the complaint, the woman, who was home alone, initially refused the agent's request. However, he entered the apartment without her consent, used the washroom, and then exposed himself before leaving. The woman later shared her experience on social media, which prompted a formal police complaint.

Bengaluru Police registered a case and arrested the accused, identified as Vijay Mallikarjun Kamat. A spokesperson for Flipkart stated the company is "deeply disturbed by this incident" and that customer safety is a top priority. The company has terminated the employee's services and is cooperating with the authorities.
