Florida’s West Palm Beach airport is now named after Donald Trump

Palm Beach International Airport is now officially known as President Donald J. Trump International Airport, the Federal Aviation Administration announced Thursday. The airport's three-letter location identifier has officially changed from PBI to DJT.

Effective today, Palm Beach International Airport's three-letter location identifier has changed from PBI to DJT following the airport's official renaming to Donald J. Trump International Airport.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed legislation in March to rename the airport, located minutes from Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort. This move adds the airport to a growing list of buildings, institutions, and programs bearing the former president's name. Eric Trump, Donald Trump's son, shared the airport's new logo on Truth Social, calling it an "incredible honor" for his father.

United States Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy also shared an image of the new airport signage on X. The airport has updated its social media handle and is in the process of transitioning its physical signage, terminal spaces, and digital channels to reflect the new name. Its website has also been updated.

The renaming process required approval from the FAA, which has now updated flight charting and navigation databases. The change was projected to cost upwards of $5.5 million. This follows Florida's approval last year of a plan to donate a downtown Miami property for Trump's presidential library.
