Football: Singapore to face Brazil and Paraguay in November friendlies at National Stadium

Singapore will face Paraguay and Brazil in November friendlies at the National Stadium, giving the Lions tests against highly ranked opposition ahead of next year’s AFC Asian Cup.

The four-team Mizuho Blue Challenge, known as The Kallang Football Series Singapore, will feature four matches across three match days from Nov. 13 to Nov. 17, during the official FIFA international window. Singapore will play Paraguay on Nov. 13, while Japan will meet Brazil the following day.

The Nov. 17 double-header will see Singapore take on Brazil before Japan plays Paraguay. Tickets for the Singapore-Paraguay opener start at S$28, while seats for Japan versus Brazil start at S$98. A single ticket for the double-header starts at S$98, and tickets go on sale on Friday.

Brazil rank fifth in the latest FIFA standings, followed by Japan in 17th and Paraguay in 34th. Singapore head coach Gavin Lee said the matches would expose his players to strong opposition and show where they still needed to improve.
