Football transfers: Leao chooses Galatasaray, Fiorentina targets Beto

Rafael Leao has opted for a move to Galatasaray, turning down a lucrative offer from Aston Villa. The Portuguese forward will reportedly earn over 10 million euros per season plus bonuses under a contract extending to 2030.

Galatasaray has agreed to a transfer fee of 45 million euros with AC Milan, which includes 43 million euros in fixed payments, two million in bonuses, and 20% of any future resale profit for the Italian club. This move places Leao alongside other notable Serie A alumni now playing in Turkey, such as Dusan Vlahovic at Besiktas and Romelu Lukaku at Fenerbahce.

Meanwhile, Fiorentina is actively seeking a new center-forward. The club has submitted a loan offer with an option to buy for Joshua Zirkzee to Manchester United, with the player reportedly open to the move, pending the English club's approval. Fiorentina has also made a new proposal to Everton for Beto.

In other transfer news, Marcus Pedersen's move from Torino to Olympiacos is currently stalled, with the Greek club now focusing on Dodo, who has attracted a nine million euro plus two million euro bonus offer from Nottingham Forest to Fiorentina. Juventus's primary target remains Franck Kessié, though Financial Fair Play regulations present significant hurdles for any new signings without player sales.

Roma is also active in the transfer market, having made an official offer to Marseille for Argentine defender Leonardo Balerdi, aiming for a loan with a purchase option.
