Football Veterans Send Support Message to Hong Myung-bo's Team

A group of South Korean football veterans has rallied to support the national team as they prepare for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. The Korea OB Football Association (President Cho Young-jeung) announced on Monday that they would deliver a banner bearing messages of encouragement to the Hong Myung-bo led squad.

The banner, featuring supportive messages from football elders, was created during the 23rd Kim Yong-sik Cup Football Tournament held from May 30-31 in Boeun, North Chungcheong Province. The event saw participation from approximately 500 players, 40 football veterans, and 60 officials, totaling around 600 individuals.

Cho Young-jeung, president of the OB Football Association, stated, "Football seniors have come together to prepare a special event for the national team's success in the World Cup. We hope this provides great strength to the Hong Myung-bo team as they face this challenge, and we encourage many people to send their support."

The banner, carrying the collective goodwill of these football legends, is scheduled to be formally handed over to the national team through Kim Seung-hee, executive director of the Korea Football Association.
