Former Chile Coach Juvenal Olmos Appointed Sports Manager at Lautaro de Buin

Former Chilean national team coach Juvenal Olmos has embarked on a new chapter in his career, taking on the role of sports manager at Lautaro de Buin. The club currently competes in the Third Division, the fourth tier of Chilean football.

Lautaro de Buin announced Olmos's arrival, highlighting his distinguished career as both a player and a coach. His experience includes managing the Chilean national team and prominent clubs like Universidad Católica and Unión Española. The club stated that Olmos will contribute his expertise, leadership, and knowledge to the development of their sporting project.

"His arrival represents an important step in the growth and strengthening of Lautaro de Buin, reaffirming our commitment to professionalization, serious work, and the permanent pursuit of new challenges that allow us to continue making our club great," the club commented.

Olmos's playing career saw him develop at Universidad Católica, with stints in Belgium and Mexico before returning to Chile. He also represented the Chilean national team. As a coach, he managed Unión Española, Universidad Católica, the national team, Newell's Old Boys, Everton, and Veracruz. He has also worked as a sports commentator on television and radio.

Lautaro de Buin is currently leading its division and is focused on achieving promotion to the Segunda Profesional league.
