Former Hells Angels Boss Arrested in Bali Hiding in Private Jet Toilet

Former Sydney Hells Angels boss Angelo Pandeli has been apprehended in Bali as he attempted to flee Indonesia on a private jet using a counterfeit passport. Pandeli, who left Australia in 2018, was under scrutiny related to a $250 million drug plot, although he was never formally charged. The Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission had alleged his involvement in a major drug importation network operated by offshore fugitives.

Despite being deported from Dubai back to Australia in 2024, Pandeli faced no charges from Australian authorities. His whereabouts remained unknown for two years until his arrest in Bali. Indonesian immigration officials reported that Pandeli was discovered hiding in the toilet of a private jet bound for Mozambique.

Authorities detected irregularities with a Brazilian passport presented under the name "GAM." Pandeli lacked any record of entry or a valid permit for Indonesia. When officers attempted to question him, Pandeli and three other passengers reportedly re-entered the aircraft without authorization and prepared for takeoff.

Indonesian authorities identified him as an influential figure within a transnational organized crime network and a prominent member of an outlaw motorcycle gang.
