Instead, he warned, they are turning the West Bank into a powder keg that could explode at any moment in Israel's face. He also stressed that the Palestinian issue must be present in discussions, such as the meeting between Trump and Netanyahu, as the Israeli prime minister believes his aggressive approach is the path to Israel's security.

Regarding the Gaza Strip, Amr did not rule out the possibility of Israel escalating military action there, even after withdrawing its forces to the West Bank. The former minister concluded by emphasizing Egypt's crucial role as a barrier that thwarted plans to empty Gaza, highlighting this as Cairo's usual historical role.
