Former Peter Pan actor defends fan targeted by online harassment at Disneyland

A Disney fan, widely known on TikTok as "Peter Pan girl," has become the center of a controversy, with many online users accusing her of "invasive" behavior towards the actor playing Peter Pan at Disneyland. Toni Kulusich, a 27-year-old content creator, frequently visits the park and shares her interactions with characters, particularly Peter Pan, on social media.

The criticism intensified after one of her videos, showing her giving the character a duck-shaped keychain, garnered over nine million views. Subsequent analysis of her past videos led to accusations of harassment, and an online petition emerged demanding her removal from Disneyland. The situation escalated when Kulusich reported that her workplace information was published online, forcing her employer to alter her schedule for safety reasons.

Amidst the online backlash, a former Disneyland actor who previously interacted with Kulusich while in costume as Peter Pan has spoken out in her defense. He acknowledged that while her enthusiasm might exceed that of other guests, her behavior never crossed the line into inappropriateness. He emphasized that she never attempted to contact the actor outside of his role, distinguishing her actions from those of other visitors who have indeed crossed boundaries.

"We have to put an end to the online discourse and harassment, she is not doing anything wrong," the former actor stated. His defense is particularly relevant as some of the controversy stemmed from interpretations of the actors' body language, with users claiming they appeared nervous or uncomfortable around Kulusich. The actor's testimony offers a counter-perspective, highlighting that his own experiences with her were not negative.
