Former PM Bennett Adds IDF Reservist Jeremy Saltan to Knesset Slate

Former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has bolstered his B'Yachad party's slate for the upcoming 26th Knesset by adding Jeremy Saltan, a long-time political adviser and decorated IDF reservist.

My life’s mission has been service to the State of Israel. In the army, at the Knesset, and beyond. I’ve known Naftali Bennett for 14 years, and I know he is the right person at the right time with the right experience to lead Israel.

Saltan's inclusion marks him as the 10th reservist to join Bennett's party list. He is also the third immigrant from the United States on the slate, alongside MK Michal Slawny Cababia and Mati Gill. Saltan, who made aliyah 31 years ago at age 11, hails from the Religious Zionist community and has a decade-and-a-half working relationship with Bennett.

His extensive experience includes key legislative, political, and party roles, notably serving as Knesset faction secretary during Bennett's premiership. Saltan also held a position as an Israeli board member at the World Jewish Congress from 2021 to 2023 and has managed English-language media, diplomatic, and field operations for Bennett's political endeavors.

I call on the religious Zionist public to join us - as one who has served over 630 days since October 7, I know the price those who serve and our families are paying.

Saltan's military service is significant, having served as a company commander in the IDF reserves. According to the party, he has completed an impressive 636 days of reserve duty since October 7, 2023. He expressed that serving Israel has been his "life's mission," emphasizing Bennett's suitability to lead the nation and calling on the religious Zionist public to join them.

Only Bennett has the thorough plans needed on enlistment to expand the circle of those who serve and significantly reduce the burden on reservists’ families.

Looking ahead, Saltan intends to champion several issues in the Knesset, including achieving equality in military enlistment, increasing support for reservists and their families, expanding aliyah (immigration to Israel), and enhancing Israel's public diplomacy efforts. He aims to leverage his diverse experience to contribute to a safer and more united Jewish and democratic state.
