Former Queens Park Rangers midfielder Akos Buzsaky has broken his silence to confirm he is safe, following reports that he had been missing in his native Hungary for over a week. The former Hungary international took to Facebook to reassure the public and express his gratitude for the outpouring of concern.

Unfortunately, in the last few months, there have been serious changes in my life that have tested me. There came a moment when I felt I had to break away from these daily routines.

Buzsaky, 44, revealed that he has been navigating a challenging period in his life over the past few months, which involved significant personal changes. He explained that there came a point where he felt compelled to step away from his daily routines. His mother reportedly contacted the police due to a misunderstanding.

Upon learning about the situation and the police involvement, Buzsaky stated that he immediately ceased his retreat and informed the authorities. He conveyed his sincere thanks for the widespread concern and well-wishes he received, describing the experience of receiving so much love as "really good."

During his playing career, Buzsaky spent five seasons at Loftus Road after joining QPR on loan in 2007. He also played for other English clubs, including Plymouth Argyle, Portsmouth, and Barnsley, accumulating 33 goals in 243 appearances. Internationally, he earned 20 caps for Hungary.
